Enjoying some DhinNeDhinNe practice lately. ๐๐๐ผ #tabla
My first @libfestival as a solo artist was amazing! Thank you @grandartique @ian__xavier for inviting me! This was also my first time presenting a full tabla solo with self produced beats and electronic music as my accompaniment. I learned a ton this trip, and canโt wait to apply it for the next electro-tabla solo! Look out for a single that I am will be releasing soon! #tabla #festivalmusic #livemusic #electronicmusic #hindustaniclassicalmusic
Recently, we had our annual student concert for #sandiegotablaacademy. To say I was proud of all of the work my students put in would be an understatement. They truly inspire me! It is a blessing to teach this instrument and be able to share such an amazing tradition of music and drumming. Through the hard work of my gurus and all of the masters of this music who inspire us, I am able to be here today. ๐๐ผ๐โค๏ธ #music #tabla #hindustaniclassicalmusic #teaching #student concerts
I was enjoying practicing this rela today. Itโs a fun one but difficult to get every ingredient to really shine. I struggle with bringing out the DhinNeGeNeDhinNe at high speeds, but that is what practice is for! I once heard Pandit Kumar Bose Ji play a similar composition to this and his rendition will be a forever inspiration! ๐๐ผ #tabla #music #practice

I had fun today preparing for a Kathak show with @sufi_raina and @rahulneuman. This is a toda in dhamar (14 beats) set to a nagma using gamelan. ๐ค๐๐๐ผ
